This Whale Watching Half-Day Tour in Tahiti is a unique opportunity to meet humpback whales. They migrate through the warm waters of French Polynesia, and you can observe them from August to November. You might even be able to swim alongside them! Meet at the Papeete marina 15 minutes before departure, for a tour from 7am to 12pm or from 1pm to 6pm.

Meet at the Papeete marina 15 minutes before departure. Your guide will be waiting to accompany you to the boat. Make sure you’re on time, because adventure doesn’t wait!

Meet the Dolphins

The boat takes you to where the whales have been spotted, allowing you to observe them in their natural habitat. Along the way, you’ll come across the many spinner dolphins. You’ll see them up close, brushing past your boat and accompanying you out to sea.

Meet the Whales

Interacting with whales is an exceptional and privileged moment. Your guides will tell you all about the annual migration of these mammals and their presence in Tahiti’s waters. French Polynesia is one of the few places in the world where immersion with whales is tolerated. If conditions are optimal, you’ll have the chance to swim alongside these magnificent creatures.

This excursion respects the flora and fauna of the area. Whales are formidable mammals, majestic, intelligent but impregnably fragile. Your guides are professionals who know and care about their environment. Waiting and observing are the key words if the whales are to accept that we follow them and swim with them.

Snorkeling with Stingrays

Back in the Tahitian lagoon, this time you’ll cross paths with stingrays. This is the perfect opportunity to get in the water and observe them snorkeling. If you don’t have your favorite snorkeling gear with you, your guide will provide a mask and snorkel so you can enjoy this new aquatic ballet to the full.

Friendly Atmosphere on Board

Your tour will take place in a small group, in a relaxed, family atmosphere. Children are welcome, and if you’re feeling a bit peckish, your guides will offer fruit tastings and a wide selection of cold drinks.

Back to Papeete marina

Your half-day whale-watching tour in Tahiti will end shortly before noon for the morning tour and around 6 p.m. for the afternoon tour. Once the boat has returned to the Papeete marina, you can stay for lunch or dinner in town. Either way, you’ll treasure your time with the cetaceans for a long time to come.

Availability Confirmation

Please note that we will first confirm the availability of your reservation before processing the payment. This means that you will not be charged immediately if you use a credit card, or that you will have to wait for confirmation before sending a payment by bank transfer. As soon as we have confirmed availability, we will inform you by e-mail. If there is no availability on the chosen date, we will contact you again to propose another date.

Deposit and Remaining Balance

When booking online, you will only need to pay a 15% deposit to confirm your tour. You can pay the balance later, either by bank transfer or when you are already in Tahiti.

Cancellation Policy

Please note our booking cancellation policy. At the very least, a cancellation fee of 15% will be charged. Less than one week before the tour date, the cancellation fee is 100%. If weather conditions do not allow the tour to be organized, and only after confirmation from the guide, cancellation fees do not apply and a full refund will be made.
