Departing From Your Hotel

On the day of the excursion, your diving instructor will pick you up directly at your pension in Fakarava. After a briefing at the dive center and the presentation of your equipment, you’ll board the boat that will take you to Fakarava’s North Pass. The boat is a 7.50 m semi-rigid, both fast and comfortable. After a 30-minute sail, you’ll arrive at the site.

Two Successive Dives for 2 People

During the morning, you’ll make two dives in a row. Each dive lasts approximately 55 minutes. The group size is limited to 8 people, to ensure maximum contact and conviviality on board. Between the two dives, count on a 90-minute recovery period during which you can chat with your instructor. Protected from the sun, you’ll enjoy a snack with hot and cold drinks.

Garuae Pass

The Garuae pass is the largest in Polynesia, with a width of 1600m. Its multicolored corals and high density of fish make the site a new anturel wonder. The finish in the canyons will be an unforgettable memory. With thousands of tropical fish, it’s a thrilling experience. Expect to see big fish too, with a wide variety of sharks, tunas and barracudas.

Diving Level Required

As far as possible, dives are adjusted according to experience and skills. Most dives take place in the incoming current. A certified N1 or Open Water level is required to take part in this Double Dive Morning in Fakarava North. The current in the Garuae channel is quite strong and requires a good level of control and experience.
