Program and Itinerary

Departure from Avatoru

The day will start with a pick up at your accommodation in Avatoru at 8:20 am. The departure will be at 9:00 am from the marina then direction Reef Island!

Crossing to Reef Island

The journey to Reef Island takes about 60 minutes. Your guide will take you to the heart of the local Paumotu culture against the backdrop of a lagoon landscape unique in French Polynesia. Rangiroa’s lagoon is indeed the largest of all the Polynesian archipelagos. It is the perfect place to awaken your senses and your mind.

The Reef Island

Upon arrival, you will be offered a snack of juice, soda and coco chips. You will then begin the visit of this incredible succession of feo, petrified and eroded coral formations, giving a lunar and volcanic look to the place. Bring your water shoes: these rocks are protruding! You will enjoy the natural pools between the reefs, to swim or simply splash in the crystal waters. A coral garden will also allow you to snorkel and enjoy the sea bed.

Lunch on a Motu

After these atypical landscapes, return to the white sand of the motu for a thirst-quenching aperitif and a lunch with local flavors. You will taste grilled fish and chicken, coconut bread, rice and the famous raw fish Tahitian style with coconut milk. You will also be introduced to traditional weaving before leaving the motu at 2:15 pm.

Tiputa Pass

After crossing Rangiroa’s beautiful lagoon again, you will arrive at Tiputa Pass around 3:15 pm, when the currents offer the dolphins a great playground. Indeed, they love the waves in which they make jumps, each more impressive than the other. Sensations guaranteed!

Snorkeling at the Aquarium

After watching dolphins, head to the motu naonao for an immersion in the land of multicolored fish and black tip sharks (harmless!). You will swim in this giant natural aquarium in the middle of this magnificent underwater fauna with extraordinary colors.

Return to Avatoru

Your tour comes to an end with a return to Avatoru marina at 4:30 pm and a transfer to your accommodation. A full day that will undoubtedly mark your memory forever.

It means that you will not be charged right away if you use a credit card, or that you will have to wait the confirmation before sending a payment with a bank wire. Deposit and Remaining Balance

When booking online, you’ll only need to make a 15% confirmation deposit to confirm your tour. You’ll be able to settle the remaining balance later on, either with a wire or when you’re already in Rangiroa. For example, you can choose to settle your balance on when you’re picked up at your hotel in the morning of your tour.

If weather conditions do not allow the tour to be organized, and only after confirmation from the guide, cancellation fees do not apply and a full refund will be made.
