This half-day boat tour in Moorea takes you to one of the most beautiful lagoons in French Polynesia. In the company of your friendly guides, you’ll cruise the turquoise waters towards the exceptional sites on the island’s north coast. Several snorkeling stops will allow you to swim amidst the aquatic life of stingrays, blacktip sharks and green turtles, and to fly over a magnificent coral garden.

Program and Itinerary

Departure From Your Accomodation

The day begins around 8:00 am with a pick-up from your accommodation. Your guides will take you and the other participants to the pier, where your boat is waiting. After a few instructions and safety rules, your tour of the lagoon begins.

Opunohu and Cook Bays

From Opunohu Bay, the captain takes you on a tour of the famous Cook’s Bay. The scenery is so breathtaking that it seems unreal. The island of beauty also appears mysterious and wild. Your guide will tell you the ancient stories and legends of these fantastic places.

First Snorkeling: Green Turtles

Contemplation gives way to exercise! Dive down to meet a colony of green turtles. Watch their graceful, elegant movements. Thanks to the shallow, almost translucent waters, you won’t miss a thing of this fascinating spectacle.

Second Snorkeling: Stingrays

Put on your mask and snorkel for a second unforgettable aquatic encounter. Stingrays are waiting for you, and you’ll find that some of them aren’t too shy to make contact with you! Respecting the animal and its natural habitat, you’ll be able to observe the stingrays’ ample, elegant movements at close quarters. They’re not alone: blacktip sharks will also be present. Don’t worry, they’re harmless.

Third Snorkeling: the Coral Garden

The last stop on your lagoon trip is a visit to a coral garden, where you can observe the corals and the multitude of tropical fish. The coral reefs are preserved and the aquatic activity is intense. It’s the perfect time to appreciate the biodiversity of Moorea’s lagoon.

Return to Your Accommodation
